Overview

Mt. Trishul-I Expedition

Considered as a moderate to difficult mountain peak, Mt. Trishul is one of the most famous and challenging peaks which lies in the Uttarakhand region of Himalayas.  The peak is a combination of Trishul – 1 (7120 Mtr), Trishul – 2 ( 6690Mtr) and Trishul – 3 (6007 Mtr), most famous among them and have been frequently attempted by the climbers being Mt. Trishul-1.  The peak has been named after its shape which looks like Trishul, the weapon of  God Shiva.  As per the records, Trishul-1 was the first peak over 7000 mtrs ever  been attempted  way back in 1907. The climbing of this peak needs around 26 days and the best time to attempt the peak is from May to June and September to October.

Itinerary of trek

Upon arrive in Delhi airport you will be received by our representative and transfer to hotel for check in. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Morning after breakfast drive to Indian Mountaineering foundation for official briefing of the Expedition. You will also meet the expedition liaison office there who will assist the expedition with you. Later in the day drive to Rishikesh. Overnight stay in hotel.

Today we will drive to Ghat via Karanparyag and complete the formalities of the expedition. Overnight stay in hotel at Ghat.

Morning after finishing the legal formalities of the expedition in local office (if pending) and then drive to Sitel where we will start the trek to Sutol village. Overnight stay in camp at Sutol.

Today our destination would be Latakhopri It is around 5 hrs trek from Sutol to Latakhopri. Overnight stay in Camp

Morning after breakfast we will start trek to base camp, it is also known as HomeKund. Upon arrivel set up the base camp for overnight stay and rest of the expedition.  

Next 15 days for Establish Higher camp i.e C1, C2 and Summit camp & Attempt to Submit Mt. Trishul I (7125 M) and trek back to Base camp.

Acclimatisation day at Base Camp or you can hike around the base camp. Our Guide and Sherpa team will do a Pooja ceremony at base camp for a successful and safe expedition

Get acclimatisation for high altitude and Load Ferry

Two days for Load Ferry.

Rope fixing and Climb to Summit camp

Two days reserve for the summit.

Two days for come back to base Camp. 

Today is the day when we windup the base camp and trek back to Sutol. Upon arrival set up the camp for overnight stay. 

Morning after breakfast trek back to Sitel and drive back to Ghat. Upon arrival check in the hotel for overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

Today we will have our last day of drive when we will drive from Rishikesh to Delhi. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to IMF for de-briefing later transfer to IGI airport Delhi to fly back to home. 

Guidelines

Things to carry

 

  • Footwear: Trekking Boots (snow and water proof), normal walking boots, and floaters.
  • Few pairs of warm/woolen socks.
  • Luggage: Backpack (50 liters), Daypack (20-30 ltr), Duffel bag.
  • Clothes: Waterproof breathable jacket & pants, Jacket (synthetic or fleece of down feather), insulated pants (Synthetic), Poncho, Sweatshirt, inner thermal (upper & lower), fleece, t-shirts, cotton trekking pants, shorts. * clothing as per the season
  • Gear for Hand & Head: Liner glove, Bandanna, Sun hat, Woolen caps, Face mask etc. Accessories: Sunglasses/Goggles, anti-glare glasses, water bottle, hydra pack, Headlamp with spare bulb and extra batteries.
  • Trekking Gears: Emergency tool kit.
  • Protection and First-Aid: Sunscreen, toiletry kit, water purification tablets, Zip-lock bags, ear plugs, first-aid and all essential medicines.
  • Camping Equipment: Sleeping bags (extreme -5 to +5 Celsius) with liner, trekking poles, etc.
  • Shirts / T-shirts – 2/3, Warm shirt/light micro fleece pullover/full sleeve T shirt
  • Trekking Pants that are water resistant/repellent and having inside lining for extra warmth- 2
  • Windproof/water resistant outer shell (jacket) of good quality with a proper hood
  • Down jacket with min 600 fill power rating, Thick Fleece / Full-sleeve Woollen sweater Thermal inner wear (upper and lower)
  • Woollen cap, Inner fleece gloves, Outer water proof gloves
  • Thick woollen socks and regular socks (4 – 5 pairs), Scarf/muffler (optional)
  • Comfortable waterproof Trekking/Hiking shoes that come with a thick sole and high ankles
  • Camp shoes such as sneakers/sport shoes
  • Raincoat / Poncho
  • Small light weight towel
  • Insulated water bottle and hydration pack (optional)
  • Cap / floppy hat to keep the strong sun away from your face, Sun glasses with UV protection and ability to cut the glare (important when traversing through snow) Sturdy walking stick / Trekking pole
  • Sunscreen Lotion, Lip Balm
  • Torch / Flashlight (with extra batteries)
  • Medicines, if requiring any specific medication
  • Personal toiletries
  • Day pack/small bag which you will carry on your back every day and keep your essentials in it
  • Carry rain cover for your bags
  • Keep a few poly bags or waterproof bags in your bag in which if required you can put your belongings in case of heavy rain

  • Combiflam – 4 tablets (Pain killer)
  • Norflox TZ & Lomofen– 6 tablets each (diarrhea)
  • Digene – 10 tablets (acidity)
  • Omez/ Rantadine – 10 tablets (antacids)
  • Crepe bandage – 3 to 5 meters
  • Gauze – 1 small roll
  • Band aid – 10 strips
  • Cotton – 1 small roll
  • ORS – 10 packets
  • Betadine or any antiseptic cream
  • Moov spray (aches, & sprains)
  • Knee cap, if you are prone to knee injury
  • Anti fungal powder
